Under the Silver Lake is a black comedy movie which is written, produced and directed by David Robert Mitchell and is one of Andrew Garfield movies released in 2018 with 6.5 IMBD Rating.


Set in Los Angeles, Sam (Andrew Garfield), a disenchanted young man, who is keen on conspiracy theories and hidden messages in popular culture. His new neighbor, Sarah, invites him to her house even though she is aware of Sam’ spying on her. The moment when they just had a kiss, Sarah’s roommates come home and disrupts them. Sarah has to ask him to leave and come to visit her and hang out with her the next day. The next morning, Sam discovers Sarah and her roommates have disappeared overnight, and he becomes passionate in learning what happened. Sam sees a news reporting that the billionaire Jefferson Sevence has been burned to death in a car with three women. Sam recognizes Sarah's hat at the scene, and Sarah’s dog dead. He calls the author of Under the Silver Lake, an underground comic about neighborhood urban legends. The author tells him that Owl’s Kiss kills people in their sleeping hours. Later, the police find the author dead in an apparent suicide. Sam discovers that the author was killed by a woman dressed as the Owl's Kiss. In a party, Sam meets Jefferson Sevence's daughter Millicent, who suggests him to swim in the Silver Lake Reservoir and gives him a bracelet.


As Sam explores further with the help of some legends, he finds a man and three women in a small hut. It turns out that wealthy men such as himself chose to lock themselves in underground bunkers with his three wives so that their souls will ascend. The truth is Sarah and her roommates were Sevence's wives, and their deaths were faked.

Dr. Connors explains that he and Peter’s father were researching cross-species genetics in order to find a way to re-grow lost limbs. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors' alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter uses his power to be a hero.

In an attempt to find Parker, his friends MJ and Leeds accidentally use Strange's sling ring to cast spells. But instead, they summon an alternate Peter Parker from a different universe. A second attempt brings through another alternative. In this way, the three Spiderman cooperate on curing the remaining villains and lure them to the Statue of Liberty. Eventually, they are all cured and Peter is forgotten by the whole world, including his beloved MJ.

In his early years, the young Desmond Doss almost kills his little brother Hal while roughhousing. Feeling regretful, he begins to read the Bible and swears that he shall not kill any person in the world. Years later, Doss falls in love with a nurse, Dorothy Schutte. Soon after Doss is released on leave, he is put in jail as he refuses to carry a firearm. Before he is sentenced, his father barges into the tribunal with a letter from a former commanding officer stating that his son's pacifism is protected by an Act of Congress. So, he is released. During the Battle of Okinawa, Doss saves his squad mate Smitty, earning his respect. At that moment, Smitty changes his view for Doss after knowing the truth. In the war, Doss hears the cries of dying soldiers and returns to save them, carrying the wounded to the cliff's edge. Doss is eventually wounded by a grenade blast, but the battle is won. Doss descends the cliff, clutching the Bible Dorothy gave him.
