What to Know

After Ever Happy is a 2022 American romance film directed by Sarah Jones and written by Sharon Soboil. It is an adaptation of Anna Todd’s best-selling teen novel of the same name, published in 2015. Before After Ever Happy, there are already three prequels in the After film collection, and this is the fourth sequel to After We Fall. Starring Josephine Langford and Hero Fiennes Tiffin, After Ever Happy picks up from the premise and continues to follow Tessa Young and Hardin Scott’s love story. The film was shot in Bulgaria in 2020 and premiered in London in 2022, first and then hit the theater globally.

The director Sarah Jones is well-known for her amazing female-led works and her passion for feminism. She has been to India to shoot a sex-trafficking story called Catching India and the Revolt in Bordeaux. The acclaimed movie work of Sarah Jones is Love on the Air, which won the Leo Award. Besides After Ever Happy, Sarah Jones is also the director of the second sequel-After We Fall. The Australian actress Josephine Langford is famous for her character in this film as Tessa Young and in the Netflix film Moxie as Emma Cunningham. Another main actor Hero Fiennes Tiffin plays Hardin in this film and is also known for his performance as 11 years old Tom Riddle in the movie Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

As Tessa and Hardin attempt to recover from the shocking change in their families, the two lovers expose their dark sides to each other, and a personal tragedy might make them break up. This sequel explores the theme of forgiveness, understanding, and recovery in romantic relationships. It is obvious that there is more revelation in the fourth After film series.
