Cindy reveals that Drew's death happened exactly one year after they accidentally killed a drunk man during a night and dumped his body off. A serial killer who claims to know about this thing have stepped out of a horror movie and into their lives. The six friends will have to find ways to escape the clutches of the killer and those annoying journalists if they want to survive.

As one of the good scary movies, this film centers four teens’s visiting a haunted house for a school project.
Cindy Campbell (Anna Faris), Brenda Meeks (Regina Hall), Ray Wilkins (Shawn Wayans) and Shorty Meeks (Marlon Wayans) are at college now with two new friends Tommy (James DeBello) and Buddy (Christopher Masterson). They are now involved in Hell House as their Professor Oldman (Tim Curry) is going to study the supernatural activity there. At the Hell House, they encounter a series of mysterious and horrible experiences. Cindy meets an Amazon parrot that is capable of talking. Having sex with Brenda, Ray is attacked by a toy clown, and Alex even has sex with a ghost. As they attempt to escape the horrible house, they find the professor being killed by a female ghost. Aware of the fact that they must kill the ghosts if they want to get out of the mansion. Many running scenes could be seen such as a living skeleton runs after Cindy but is ripped off by Brenda. Finally, Cindy performs as bait to lure the Kane ghost to a device that ultimately destroys him.

The sequel to Scary Movie 2 begins with the death of Katy (Jenny McCarthy) and Becca (Pamela Anderson) the moments they turn the TV on. Cindy Campbell (Anna Faris) is now in Washington to pick up her nephew Cody (Drew Mikuska) from school. She is invited to compete in a rap-battle with rapper Mahalik (Anthony Anderson) and CJ (Kevin Hart). As the TV turns on by itself, Tabitha (Marny Eng) climbs out of it and kills Brenda. George and Mahalik try to bring Brenda back to life but only blow her into pieces at her funeral, which causes screaming of the guests. After watching the tape, Cindy is cursed and is threatened by a death phone call. Panicked, she asks for help from her friends. CJ’s aunt Shaneequa discovers the hidden image of a lighthouse and reveals to Cindy that she must find the lighthouse in order to solve the mystery. When she does arrive at the lighthouse, she meets an old man who tells her that Tabitha was his evil adopted daughter and imprinted her evil on the tape. When Cindy is home, she finds lots of aliens who claim to have come to stop Tabitha. Cindy finds the well where Tabitha was drowned under the cellar floor and fights with Tabitha as she suddenly appears. Eventually, Tabitha is knocked back into the well by President Harris. After the aliens are gone peacefully, Cindy gets married with George. When they are on a honeymoon, Cody is hit by a car.

Cindy Campbell receives a new job to take care of incapacitated Mrs. Norris (Cloris Leachman) in the creepy "Grudge House”, where she encounters a series of mysterious events. In the night, she discovers a ghost boy in the attic and she tells this to her neighbor Tom the next day. Thus, the discussion of the history about their relationship begins. When Cindy comes back to the house, she meets the ghost boy again and they begin to have a conversation in Japanese. According to the boy, she can find the answer to the alien attack when she finds his father. The boy gives her a map that leads to his father’s location. On the road, Cindy meets Brenda Meeks (Regina Hall), who apparently faked her death in Scary Movie 3. Together, they set forth based on the boy’s directions.
On the other hand, President Harris reveals a weapon made to combat the aliens, gigantic tripods. These aliens kill people but leave their clothes behind. When Cindy and Brenda come across a village, which is hundred years old from now, they decide to steel clothes of the villagers but are capture to the court. Rules from the leader Henry Hale (Bill Pullman) of the village are that they may stay in the village, but they may never leave. That night, the village is attacked by villagers in costumes. After being stabbed by Ezekiel (Chris Elliott), Henry tells Cindy the truth that he is the father of that boy and only Cindy can defeat the triPods. At the moment, Cindy, Brenda, To and Rachel are capture by the aliens. Moments before their deaths, Cindy finds photos in the toilet and realizes that Jigsaw was the ghost boy's real father, and the entire invasion was revenge for his son's death. Then Brenda, who just had sex with Jigsaw's brother, Zoltar, appears from another room.

Directed by David Zucker, Scary Movie 5 stars Simon Rex, Ashley Tisdale and Charlie Sheen. This movie is characterized by its parodying of many popular movies as Paranormal Activity, Rise of the planet of apes, Black Swan, Cabin in the woods, and Inception.
Charlie is pulled into the air by a paranormal force and thrown against walls, and Lindsay Lohan is also influenced by the magical air and kills Charlies when she becomes possessed. Hence, Lohan is arrested with their children missing. Later, Snoop Dogg and Mac Miller find the three children in the woods and turn them for the reward. Charlie's brother, Dan Sanders and his wife Jody come to collect the children and they learn from them that the attacks on their home are by "Mama", the mother of the children, who is under a curse and is trying to get them back. With the help of a dream extractor named Dom Kolb, they understand that the solution to their problems lies in the mysterious Book of the Dead. Jody fails to lift the curse with the book, but does manage to knock the evil spirit into Snoop Dogg and Mac Miller's pool containing a live shark, which then devours her. In the end, the ballet performance, which is acted by the children is heavily applauded by the audience. The story's narrator turns out to be an ape, Caesar. He reveals that apes will one day take over the world.

In 2000, the first part of the film scary movie was released, however, scarie movie 6 seems unlikely happen for a few reasons.
Scary Movie 5 received a 4% Rotten Tomatoes score, which is far below the 35% of Scary Movie 3 and Scary Movie 4. It was a terrible box office hit, the only horror film to make less than $100 million worldwide, and a sequel is basically off the table.
