synopsis

Hunter S. Thompson rose to fame in the 1960s when he wrote about his experiences as a reporter embedded in the Hells Angels motorcycle gang. He then covered various national election campaigns and began popularizing a form of "funny stories." The film Chronicles the wild adventures of Hunter Thompson and his lawyer for four years from 1968 to 1972. Throughout the movie, we see different plots; Among them is his friend and lawyer, Carl Lazlo. In those episodes, he covered a 1968 drug trial in San Francisco; Preparing to cover the 1972 Super Bowl in Los Angeles; Witnessed weapons being smuggled to potential revolutionaries, and ended up covering President Nixon's re-election campaign.
