synopsis

Michael Flaherty, a passionate veteran from the Vietnam War, leaves his comfortable home in Detroit after being disillusioned by the lack of clear-cut causes. Driven by the stories from his grandfather and a desire for a greater purpose, he travels to Ireland to join the IRA, but soon realizes that life is full of complexities and ambiguities.
