With no one to rely on, Slahi finds support in defense attorney Nancy Hollander and her associate Teri Duncan, who fight the U.S. government for justice despite facing numerous challenges. As they delve deeper into the case, they are joined by Lt. Colonel Stuart Couch, a military prosecutor who uncovers shocking evidence that tests their commitment to their client and the law. The film showcases how their controversial advocacy and perseverance ultimately lead to the truth being exposed, proving that the human spirit cannot be imprisoned.
