synopsis

The story takes place eight years after the events of "The Dark Knight," with Wayne having retired from crime fighting and Gotham City enjoying a period of peace. However, the emergence of the villainous Bane (Tom Hardy) forces Wayne to don the Batman suit once again and confront his own limitations as a hero. As Wayne battles Bane and the corrupt forces that control Gotham City, he also faces personal challenges, including his relationship with Selina Kyle (Anne Hathaway) and his own physical and emotional vulnerabilities.
