synopsis

In the not-too-distant future, warmth is gone from the Earth, and cold will dominate every corner of the world. Surviving humans hide in various shelters. At first, they are happy and peaceful, but as food shortages and a deadly flu cause massive deaths, the situation changes fundamentally. Survivors cautiously extract seeds from plants for future use while also guarding against harm from their own kind. At Colony 7, leader Briggs and the small fry Sam each struggle to cope with each agonizing day. One day, Colony 7 accidentally receives a distress call from Colony 5. To investigate and find equipment that can be salvaged, Briggs decides to lead a team and Sam joins the journey. In the blinding snowstorm that covers the desolate land that hasn't seen the sun for a long time, unforeseen dangers await them.
