synopsis

A girl named Chun-ying comes from a single-parent family and goes to school on her own in Taipei. She is an introverted student with low self-esteem, and she joins the tug-of-war team in her school since everyone on this team is from a poor single-parent family. Students in this team are pretty outgoing and work hard on exercises and learning. They gain their glory through hard work, and teachers can perceive a bright future for them.
