synopsis

Shrink tells that in the heart of Hollywood, a myriad of individuals in need gravitate toward Dr. Henry Carter, a renowned psychiatrist. Jack, a fading star, seeks Henry's approval for an extramarital affair, while Shamus, a director consumed by addiction, battles his own demons. Patrick, a germophobic producer, grapples with his own power dynamics, and Jeremy, an aspiring writer, yearns for his big break. Jemma, a rebellious high-school student, indulges in truancy, and Kate, an actress confronting her age, navigates the challenges of her industry. Amidst this web of interconnected lives, Henry himself is grappling with the recent loss of his wife. Consumed by grief and self-blame, he turns to marijuana as a coping mechanism. Concerned for his well-being, Henry's friends stage an intervention, but their efforts are further complicated when a patient's file mysteriously disappears. Meanwhile, Patrick's assistant, the expectant Daisy, sees potential in Jeremy's writing, and a fateful encounter with Jesus, Henry's drug dealer, exposes him to a potent strain of weed. Amidst the chaos and uncertainty, the question lingers: can any positive outcomes emerge from this tangled web of lives?
