synopsis

Julia (Matilda Lutz) and her boyfriend Holt (Alex Roe) are separated and miss each other. One night, after a strange dream, Julia discovers that Holt is missing. During the video call, a frantic woman rants and questions, looking for Holt's whereabouts. Worried, Julia travels to Holt's school and meets the girl in the video, Skye, who then witnesses his mysterious death. After this, Holt shows up and says that he received an experiment from Professor Gabriel (Johnny Galecki), ostensibly to prove the existence of the soul after death, but in reality, they are watching the cursed videotape, which the viewer passes on to the next "surrogate" before dying. But the deaths came one after another.
