synopsis

Goats mainly tells the story of a 15-year-old boy, Ellis, who leaves his eccentric and very "new age" mother, Wendy, to attend prep school. From his hometown in the Southwest to the East Coast, the teenager begins a journey of life. Ellis' estranged father, Frank, is a former star student at the prep school, which means Ellis will get a real, new look at his father. A pipe-smoking fellow, Frank's buddy, whose prep-school obsessions contrasted with Ellis's ideas and influenced the teen's way of life.
