synopsis

Set in a futuristic California, Double Dragon unfolds 15 years after a devastating earthquake merges San Diego and Los Angeles into a single metropolis. The narrative follows two teenage brothers who possess separate halves of an ancient Chinese talisman, imbued with immense power. Enter the affluent Koga Shuko, also known as Guisman, who holds the other half and becomes obsessed with acquiring the brothers' portion. His ultimate aim is to reunite the two medallion halves, granting him control over the legendary Double Dragon talisman's extraordinary capabilities. Against a backdrop of a post-apocalyptic world, the brothers find themselves entangled in a high-stakes conflict as they strive to safeguard their half of the talisman from falling into the wrong hands. With the fate of the city hanging in the balance, they must navigate a treacherous landscape brimming with adversaries—both human and supernatural—who seek to exploit the talisman's power for their own wicked purposes. Throughout their journey to protect the talisman, the brothers confront their deepest fears and limitations, unearthing hidden strengths and forging unbreakable bonds. As the battle between good and evil escalates, the brothers become pivotal figures in an epic struggle for control over the Double Dragon talisman, wherein the outcome will shape the destiny of their post-earthquake world.
