(2010)The movie Boy is set in the year 1984, 11-year-old Boy resides on a farm alongside his younger brother Rocky, who firmly believes in possessing magical abilities. They share their living space with their grandmother and a lively goat. However, their routine takes an unexpected turn when Gran departs for a week, leaving Boy to manage the household. Suddenly, Boy's father, Alamein, makes an unexpected appearance after a prolonged absence. Boy had crafted an idealized image of his father, envisioning him as a hero during his absence. However, reality clashes with fantasy when Boy is confronted by the true version of his father—a bumbling and inept hoodlum. Alamein has returned in search of a bag of money he had buried years ago. This is where the goat takes its place in the tale, entwining its destiny with the unfolding events. As Boy grapples with the complexities of his father's return and the pursuit of buried treasure, the goat becomes an integral part of their journey, revealing unexpected surprises along the way.
