synopsis

Terry starts dating a married woman; Mickey, Ray's father, is released from prison after twenty years and travels to Los Angeles to be with his family. Ray's wife and children struggle to understand the complex and distant man of the house as they attempt to reconcile their upper-middle-class lifestyle with their blue-collar roots in South Boston. These events set off a series of events that reveal legal gaps, put family boundaries to the test, and bring up previously dealt with traumas.
