synopsis

The Ark mainly tells the story of God-fearing Noah and his wife Amy working on their farm in the barren land with their married sons Shem, Ham and Japheth, their wives, and their naive teenage son Kenan. When Kenan came to this hedonistic city, he fell in love with the bohemian lifestyle of Saba, the daughter of rich businessman Paul and Noah's atheist friend, and he visited her every night. When an angel tells Noah to build the ark because his world will soon be swallowed by a great flood, Noah takes the message seriously, but his family doesn't believe him. When he tried to warn the townspeople, he was mocked and stoned. Eventually, Emme humiliates the boys to help Noah, and although there is no sign of rain, the Ark is complete. Pious fugitives from the city arrived, and when the flood came, many animals and birds were welcomed on board. Kennan, however, chose to stay with Saba and other unbelievers, who perished in the flood.
