synopsis

Brokedown Palace tells that after graduating from high school, best friends Alice and Darlene go on a celebratory trip to Thailand. During their time there, they meet a charming Australian man named Nick Parks, who convinces them to take a weekend trip to Hong Kong. However, at the airport, they are caught smuggling drugs and are subsequently convicted in a show trial and given a 33-year sentence. In a desperate attempt to gain their freedom, they reach out to Yankee Hank, an American lawyer based in Thailand who is known to be helpful, but only if you have the money to pay for his services.
